Off-grid solar power system is often called a stand-alone solar system that operates independently of the electrical grid. It typically includes solar panels, a charge controller, batteries, and an inverter to provide power to a location that is not connected to the grid. Here’s a detailed explanation of how it works:
  • Solar panels convert sunlight into direct current (DC).
  • The charge controller regulates the voltage and current coming from the solar panels to the batteries, preventing overcharging and deep discharging.
  • Batteries store the DC electricity generated by the solar panels for use when sunlight is not available, such as at night or on cloudy days.
  • The off grid PVinverter converts the stored DC electricity in the batteries into alternating current (AC) electricity, which is the type of electricity used by most household appliances.
